SL, Sebang, and HL Mando were selected as the "2025 World's Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2025" announced by U.S. weekly magazine TIME and data company Statista.
According to Time magazine's world's top sustainable growth company in 2025, six Korean companies were listed in the Automotive Industry & Suppliers category on the 1st.
The world's top sustainable growth company in 2025 was created to select the top 500 companies that showed outstanding performance in sustainable development while maintaining strong financial health. Time and Statista evaluated a company's sales growth, financial safety, and environmental impact.
Time magazine explained that the companies selected as the world's top sustainable growth companies showed low carbon emissions, low water consumption, waste generation rates, and high eco-friendly energy use.
The company with the highest score was SL. SL scored 81.64 out of 100, ranking 117th overall. SL is developing eco-friendly materials, and in 2022, the Sustainable Management Committee was established to disclose ESG management strategies and achievements every year.
Following SL, Sebang scored 79.08 points. Sebang was ranked 189th overall. After Sebang, Kia Motors (77.08 points), Hyundai Mobis (76.33 points), HL Mando (74.68 points), and Hankook Tire (71.22 points).
A total of 23 Korean companies were included in the world's top sustainable growth companies for 2025. JYP Entertainment received the highest evaluation. JYP Entertainment ranked third with 93.66 points. Samsung Biologics, LG Electronics, Hanwha Aerospace, SL, and Kolmar Korea were also listed at the top.
An official from Time magazine said, "There is a reason why investing is more important than 'It's just a good thing'," adding, "Ultimately, no economy can thrive without a healthy environment."
